Unfortunately, until renovations are complete, we cannot offer an ADA bathroom at our facilities. The main floor and event spaces are accessible via ramp, however, the bathrooms are located down a flight of stairs. We also cannot provide any assistive listening at this time. Please help us as we raise funds and work towards a more accessible venue for all our community members.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

For our production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee we auditioned and cast 6 extremely talented local youth and asked 3 local professionals to join our cast and share their talents in this hilarious piece. The Hub is a host for talented performing artists from this community as well as from afar. This production demonstrates the caliber and quality of local performance that we plan to host here at the Hub.

In this show, an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
Music & Lyrics by William Finn, Book by Rachel Sheinkin

Director: Kianna Bromley
Assistant Director: Anna Blackburn
Music Director: Molly Clark
Choreographer: Sierra Norford
